Well, not OUR town exactly, but somewhere in the Central San Joaquin Valley. We're so excited! (Wish it were us........)
They will announce the family and location on January 8th and send the family away in a limo to vacation.
Even though we don't know where the house is going to be built, we volunteered to work on it. They are supposed to be getting back to us if we're chosen or not. Wouldn't it be a hoot to work along side that hyper Ty Pennington? Even if we aren't picked to work on the project, we still think it would be a lot of fun to go watch. Spectators are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to come by the worksite.
And, YES, they really do build the house in only 7 DAYS! The schedule we have shows them knocking on the family's door on the morning of January 8th and saying "MOVE THAT BUS!" between 2 - 3 p.m. on January 15th. WOW!
If you want to check it out, there will be updates at: http://www.extremedeyoung.com/index.php

Yesterday, DD treated me to see the movie, Marley & Me. OMG! We laughed, we cried. It was fabulous.
The dog is unbelievably funny and CUTE! Oh, the things that Marley gets into.
I knew how the movie was going to end, but even so I was not fully prepared for it. You definitely need to take tissues with you. Everyone in the place was crying (boys, girls, old men and women, little kids, even teenagers).
Let me tell you, usually while I'm supposed to be watching a movie at the theater I look at my watch 3 or 4 or 15 times, change positions in my seat this way and that and then back again, and then I fall asleep. But, not this time. I did not look at my watch, nope, not one time. I did not squirm in my chair. And, I most definitely DID NOT fall asleep.
On the way home, DD said, "It was definitely worth spending my $12.00. That might be my favorite movie ever."

But, I'm thinking it will be kind of neat to look back on previous posts to see what was going on a day ago, or a month ago, or a year ago. I've always wanted to keep a journal, but never did it for more than a day or two. And, with this I can add PICTURES!
Here we go......let the games begin!
